Who We Are
The MPAC network brings together arts presenting organizations, performers, artist agents and managers, service organizations, vendors, and affiliate partners to share live performance with Montana communities. Together, we form a professional community grounded in the belief that live performance connects people and strengthens communities.
Our work is grounded in the realities of Montana—long distances, small and rural communities, volunteer leadership, and vast landscapes that shape both the challenges and the rewards of presenting. Montana audiences are deeply engaged and appreciative, knowing how rare and special live performance can be. MPAC exists to help presenters and artists navigate this landscape together.

What We Do
Our work brings presenters, artists, partners, and communities together to strengthen access to live performance across the state.
We pursue our mission through three core programs:
Member Services
& Network Support
Year-round resources, professional development, collaboration, and information sharing that strengthens Montana’s performing arts touring ecosystem.
Artist Showcase & Conference
An annual convening that brings presenters, artists, and agents together to build relationships, explore touring opportunities, and plan future seasons.
Presenter Development
Program support for rural and emerging presenting organizations, helping communities build sustainable performing arts programs.
Who We Serve
MPAC’s work is powered by the relationship between presenters, artists, and the communities they serve.
MPAC serves a diverse and interconnected field, including:
-
Nonprofit performing arts presenters and presenting communities
-
Performing artists and touring ensembles
-
Artist agents, managers, and representatives
-
Arts service organizations and professional partners
-
Affiliate organizations that occasionally present live performance
Whether a community is just getting started or has decades of presenting experience, MPAC exists to support the work of bringing live performance to people across Montana.

Why It Matters
Live performance creates connection—between artists and audiences, neighbors and communities, and places across the state. In Montana’s rural and small-town communities, these shared experiences can be especially powerful.
